26th July 2000

Dear Madam

Thank you for your kind thoughts, interest, and good wishes conveyed to us by your Lady in Waiting for the Eardley reunion on 15th July 2000.

The Eardley reunion Service in St James’s Church in Audley was a great success and created a wonderful feeling of unity and fellowship.

The Family History Society was available to provide useful information in tracing relatives of those Eardleys who came to the reunion Service.

All our appreciation goes to Dr Robert Jack Eardley of Lexington, Kentucky whose vision made the Eardley day on 15th July 2000 not only a possibility but a significant event for the Millennium and Eardley family history. Over 1500 came from our country, The United States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

It was a wonderful start to the Service to announce to everyone in the Church that your Majesty had acknowledged our reunion with good wishes to everyone. This came as a great surprise to all attending the reunion. On behalf of all The Eardleys may I say this kind gesture was really appreciated.

Yours sincerely

Margaret Jean Eardley – Beaumont ( Mrs. )
