Thanks for the email .........Please note the website as we are having an Eardley family get-together noon Saturday 5th July 2003 at Saint James Church in Audley, England to embrace and recognize Sir George Yeardley / Eardley, grandson of William Eardley of Eardley Hall of Eardley End and Elizabeth Moreton of Moreton Hall which is now a part of the National Trust ..........George matriculated from Christ's College , Cambridge , England in 1598 ....He was the first governor of Virginia times three and the first legislative assembly even prior to the Plymouth Colony in 1620 .... Everyone knows the Pocohantas story from there . She is buried in England......Dennis Pickeral will represent the Flowerdew Foundation of Virginia which was a 1000 acre land grant from the King to George ...Tom Mor of Cambridge represents the New World Tapestry of which the Royal Family have all put a stitch in the tapestry which is located at the Cold Harbour Mill........Please contact David Eardley 01782 72 10 60 for further information........It should be a very memorable day .............Please let your family and any other Eardley know of the day....Everyone is invited.......And the possibility to put a stitch in the tapestry may be made available if one wants to be a patron of the tapestry .........
