Letter from Richard John Eardley

Dear Jack Eardley:

Thank you for your letter of Nov. I and my wife Beth hope to come to the family get together on July 15th.

My Grandfather was Richard Vernon who married Sarah Abigail Jones at Nantwich 1880. They farmed at Moss Hall Audlem also at Colehurst Manor at Market Drayton which incidentally is now a hotel.

My father was their youngest son Hugh Eardley who famed at Longslow Market Drayton, and married Elsie Similer.

I farmed at Longford Grunge Market Drayton for 40 years untill I retired. My son Philip Richard runs a hotel, Rosehill Manor, Tern Hill, Shrope and he has a son Sam aged 7 and Zoe aged 9.

I also have two daughters who are both married.

As you will have gathered there are a lot of Eardleys around Market Drayton who have married other families in the area so we are related to a lot of people.
