Various census give your George and wife as being born at Wrockwardine, Shropshire. This was on top of the major ironworks of the area and HE AND SON ARE SHOWN AS FURNACEMEN. By simply using the IGI and Mapquest to check geography, I find that a Robert was baptised at Wombridge c.1810, of Robert and Mary. That place is within a mile of Wrockwardine. A number of other Eardleys are known in the area of nearby Shifnal and Sheriffhales.
RJE has peviously said his help is limited because his only staff are his disembodied ancestors.
