The reverend Stenton Eardley

Shortly after my posting about Robert Eardley , Frank Eardley of Brownhills mentioned that he knew of a noted Eardley minister with the same Stenton name as Robert's grandmother. So research dug up this.
Stenton Eardley was born c.1823 in Stockport, probably Robert's brother, but also cousin. In 1841 he was school tutor in Adwick le street in Yorkshire. In 1847 he married Frances Ann Keeling of Holmfirth, Yorkshire, in Barton under Needwood, Burton, Staffs 1861. He moved to Streatham, Surrey, and founded the successful Immanuel church, dying on 17 July 1883, apparently childless.
Oddly, the Stenton name was highly regarded, as Robert’s son Frank, born 1869, had it as a middle name. Frank also christened Vera Stenton Eardley in 1897, who became a MIDDLE East Historian/writer. Father Frank also wrote a number of books and a special poem about the plague village of Eyam in Derbyshire. Two other Stenton Eardley births are recorded in 1867 and 1874.
A photo of Stenton in 1869 can easily be found on the net.
He was also related via Charlotte Eardley (born 4th daughter 1869 to Rev. William Eardley of Doncaster - born Stockport c.1828), to the Wrights of Eyam hall, Derbyshire.
There must be quite a few relatives around who can contribute more.
