hi mike,
the Standon parish registers seem to be poorly readable/damaged for much of 1700's as few Eardley entries available. Probably have to see microfiches at Stafford record office or Lichfield. The christening of Nathaniel Eardley on 3rd november 1664 seems to indicate a family connection to the 1796 man.
