I have been reading this site for some time and until now have only just read about "Talk-on-the-Hill"

As I have mentioned before I was raised within the village of Audley but, until now, I had not realised the significance of the ties between Audley and Talk-on-the-Hill.

I just wish my Mum was still alive so I could question her about it.

My Mum was a Carter who along with the Eardley's also had big ties with Audley. Her father lived in Audley Old Hall mainly as her father was one of thirteen and it is my understanding that this was the only house big enough to hold them all.

I am sure she would have not only have been interested in this fact, but she probably would have had something to say about it?

The closer the Eardley get together day gets the more I look forward to it.
