Charles Eardley of Trenton

Does anyone have any information on Charles Eardley 17 yrs old and a decorator listed on the 1880 census ? He was living in a boarding house . He also appears on the 1881 and 1882 Trenton Directory , but not on the 1900 one . I had a great uncle Charles who I have not been able to find out much about . I am not sure mine came to this country but the age is right and I can't find him in England either .
