to stuart,
be prepared to meet thousands of cousins from Pennsylvania and beyond. The Solomon of 1690 IS in fact the son of Samuel E. and Margaret Lockett, married on 17/7/1678 at St. Michael's, Horton. Seemingly unknown to geneaological records, I noted him as being listed as a Yardley in the vicar's marriage entry. But his baptism , christenings and Will of 1727 list him as an Eardley. William's son SOLOMON is another .His nephews , Thomas and Richard Yardley (Yeardley in US records), left for Pennsylvania in 1704, to settle the affairs of their 3 cousins, sons of Quaker leader William Yardley and Jane Heath, of Dairyhouse, Horton, near Leek, who died in an epidemic.
There is much net data on the early settlers of Bucks county, Pennsylvania, many from North Staffs and south Cheshire in the Quaker fleet of 1682. Many descendants still there, both sides of the Deleware, such as those from Luke Brindley, blacksmith of Leek, and many Heaths.
bye peter
