HELLO EVERYONE.
On July 14th the East Window will be rededicated at St James Church Audley. There will be a large number of Eardleys present and we hope you and your family will do all you can to be there.Raising the money has been a challenge---in no small part due to the Eardley Committee who have planned and actioned events which have realised a significant amount. However,it will come as no surprise to learn that Jack has donated most of the £20000 needed to restore this beautiful window. He genuinely wanted us all to be able to make our own contribution so that our grandchildren could feel part of the history of our ancestral parish. There will still be an opportunity to make that happen on 14th July.
Jack Keith Eardley, son of Robert Jack is to be married in early July in Lexington Kentucky. His bride to be is Ms Polly Singer, also of lexington.Arrangements have been made with Audley Vicar Peter Davies to have special Blessing Ceremony in Audley Church in the afternoon of 14th july.I believe it will be at 2.30.Again my understanding is that the bride will be in her wedding gown and the marriage ceremony will be re-read in the Anglican Format. It should be a great occasion. All Eardleys are invited to attend the ceremony.
On a different topic-----Karen Shriver Curator of the Flowerdew Museum(where Sir George Yeardley lived)recently expressed a wish to meet with us to discuss a range of topics concerning the yeardley connection. She has visted varios sites in london and brought over several artifacts for furthur expert opinion. We will keep you posted on this and all matters of interest to you all.Best wishes----and see you all on 14th July.Robert F
