*** EARDLEY GROUP MEETING- CHANGE OF VENUE***

Due to a misunderstanding about dates, the Butcher's Arms has double booked the room we had planned to hold the next Eardley Group meeting in favour of another party. Therefore please note that our meeting for TUESDAY MARCH 16TH AT 7.45PM WILL BE HELD IN THE COCKTAIL LOUNGE AT THE BOUGHEY ARMS PUBLIC HOUSE. This venue is situated approximately 100 yards from St James Church on the corner of Church Street and Nantwich Road, Audley, Staffs. Please regard this as an open invitation to attend - remember this Group has been formed from the Eardley Reunion of July 15th 2000 to further propagate the reunion of the Eardley family and name.
Items for discussion at the meeting will include:-
The status of the Eardley Fund for the restoration of the East Window in the Church and how we stimulate further income.
The planned Church Open Day this coming Summer, where the contractor chosen to carry out the restoration will be invited to attend and give details of the practical aspects of the project and may be available to answer any questions.
The Audley connection with Sir George Yeardley, the first Governor of Virginia and Robert Mayers investigations and publishing of his excellent article on the Message Board - How do we verify this information and raise the profile of this exciting news with a view to a possible twinning of Audley with Williamsburg,Virginia?
The Irish Eardleys - are they descended from Eardleys who went to Ireland with Oliver Cromwell - How do we find out?
How do we improve communication with the Eardley families who do not have access to a computer?
If anyone has any relevant issues they wish to have discussed at the Eardley Group Meeting please let me know.
