Making Eardley connections

Does anyone have any information about my Eardley origins? My great great grandmother was Margaret Eardley who married James Skidmore on the 2nd September 1838 at Harborne in the county of Stafford. Her father’s name was Joseph Eardley and he was deceased at the time of her wedding. The marriage certificate states that she was 21 when she married; therefore I estimate that she was born circa 1816/17. However, when she died the 19th January 1879, her age was given as 65, which would indicate that she was born circa 1814. Margaret and James had 11 children, all of whom were baptised in Brierley Hill. It has been suggested that Margaret originated from either Shifnal or Madely in Shropshire but I do not know upon what evidence this possibility is based. There is also a possibility that she was christened at Donnington Wood and that her mother's name was Elizabeth.
