Letter from Poitou

HELP NEEDED! Letter from Poitou is a novel by Michael J. Eardley which traces 70 years of the turbulent 14th century, and looks at the period through the eyes of Eve de Clavering. Eve was a remarkable woman, who lived to be 69 in a time when 40 was regarded as old. She married 3 times but had no legitimate children. She lived with Sir James Audley for 20 years, and had 5 children who were not recognised by State or Church, yet one of them was the hero of Crecy and Poitiers, favourite of the Black Prince, and one of the founder members of the Garter Knights. What's this got to do with Eardleys? Eardleys were tenants of the Audleys, and almost certainly inter-married, particularly at the 'junior' branches. This novel was completed and typed out 10 years ago, and I'm still looking for a serious publisher. That's my first request - anyone in the worldwide Eardley web got the connections? Secondly, would anyone like to help with converting the original type to Microsoft Word documents for the PC? I have in mind to publish the whole thing on the Internet if I can't get it printed. If enough people would agree to take one or two chapters, and input them to Word, this project could be up and running soon. Meantime, you can download a sample chapter from my website at www.geocities.com/eardleym. Follow the directions through interests to creative writing and there's a zipped copy or you can read it online. Any help greatly appreciated - e-mail me at mikeeardley@madasfish.com. Michael J.
