Were Eardley's originally Audley's

Let me introduce myself my name is Ron Sanders and my mother's maiden name was Eleanor Eardley, daughter of Sidney Eardley b April 1, 1887 at Horton (married Alice Close at Biddulph 1909).

I am interested in the connection, if any, between the Eardley family and the Baron Audley family. Is the Eardley connection just because they originated in Audley ?

Also I have a family Tree which goes back to William Eardley b 1599 married Mary Broughton November 3 1622 at Sandon, is there a family tree which takes this couple further back in time ?
