THANK YOU & EARDLEY GROUP

I would like to record my personal thanks to all who attended the re-union and made it such a success.The people of Audley are still talking about it! I would also again place on record the debt that we all owe to Robert Jack Eardley,for without his massive contribution the Eardley Renaissance/Re-union would never have happened. My thanks on your behalf also to Margaret Eardley-Beaumont and husband Alan,Robert Francis Eardley,Cyril Eardley (who incidently met Robert Jack Eardley at Manchester Airport on his first visit to the area and who provided much help in the early days of information gathering)all of whom were involved in the organisation of the Church Service and local hospitality, to Bud Eardley and Dorothy for manning the Visitors Books and Identification Labels. Following many requests for commemorative ware, thanks to Richard Gibbins and Linda Macdonald for their entrepreneurial efforts in providing us with 'Eardley Ale' Silver items,the Hog Roast and all the other attendant activities pre and post the 15th and not forgetting the use of their premises for some of the committee meetings. To Sissy T. for her super Tee & Polo shirts etc (she still has some left and will try to satisfy your requirements)and last but not least to Bill Eardley (St.Annes not Blackpool)who set up a pirate stall of very attractive shirts etc the profits from which were donated to the Window Fund. (If I've left anyone out please forgive me but thank you all the same) Now the re-union is past the renaissance must still continue and to help with this we are looking into the possibility of forming an 'Eardley Group'which will meet on a regular basis possibly in the Church Hall in Audley, when arrangements are complete I will advertise it locally and on the website. With regard to the website please continue to use it,and keep in touch with all the Eardleys that you met.The website will undergo a revision in the near future and will include many of the photographs taken on the 15th,this will take some time please be patient and keep looking. To the Eardleys out there who didn't make it to Audley on the 15th,you were in our thoughts and prayers on the day, the service was recorded and the church will sell tapes at £5 incl. post & package to anyone who is interested with the profit going to the Window Fund. We really need to concentrate our efforts on reaching the target for the Window Fund so that we can meet again in Audley for the dedication of the window when restoration is complete.
