The first baptism in the Leek Parish registers occurs in 1645 when Sarah daughter of Rob Eardley was christened.

The first (recorded) marriage was in 1656 when Richard Eardley [alias Yardley] was married. If ever a parish demonstrated the complete inter changeability of the name forms it's Leek!

Lately (19c), the family dispersed in the parish with Meerbrook, Ipstones, Leekfrith and Ashenhurst being but a few of the locations.

A specific area in the parish would be needed for more of the more recent records.
