In Response To: Re: Sir George Yeardley (Sheri Eardley Slaughter)

A few years ago, I purchased from eBay the book "House of Yardley" (regarding the soap family; includes some genealogy data). On pg.19 he states that George sailed to America on "Sea Adventure", leaving England on 15 May, 1609.

Of interest, too, might be the softcover book, "Images of America: Yardley" (c1999, by Vince PROFY). It is a charming look at the Pennsylvania (USA) town.

And, more technical, is the softcover book, "Flowerdew Hundred - The Archaeology of a Virginia Plantation 1619-1864") c1993, by James Deetz).

As must be many of you, I am one of the __thousands__ of descendents of Sir (Governor) George Yeardly/Yardley.
