A few details, mainly from David Buckman's Artists in Britain since 1945:

Enid Eardley 1916-1999

Enid Eardley was a painter, notable for portraits, who studied at Central School of Arts and Crafts in 1939, then in the mid-1960s with Stanley Grimm and Steven Spurrier. She was a member of the Society of Women Artists, exhibiting there from 1966 through to 1991, and had a series of solo exhibitions including Alpine Gallery in 1981. She also showed regularly with the Royal Society of British Artists at the Mall Galleries. She lived in Old Amersham, Bucks.

“Miss Ellie”

I have a couple of her works (details above). Not sure how to add photos to this forum but if you are interested in seeing her style then e-mail me separately and I can send an image.

all the best,
Gareth Dodd
