Latest on the Reunion

Hello everyone!Just a few final thoughts on the big day.

1.Everything seems to going well and the organising committee have been doing a wonderful job!

2.If your family is staying at either the Hilton(formerly the Stakis)or the North Stafford Hotel a bus will take you to Audley.

3.Jack is to be interviewed on BBC TV on Friday 14th in time for the 6.30 news.The 'Sentinel' and other media are also to show an interest.

4.An Eardley beer and hand-made jewellery are available.The T-shirts have been well advertised by Sissy from Arkansas.

5.The Order of Service is being finalised and shoud be on the website soon.

6.You do not need a personal invitation.Just turn up on the day.

7.Parking in Audley is very limited.We hope to find extra space if necessary but as numbers are the 'great unknown'one solution would be to take a taxi from wherever you are staying.

8.If you are bringing someone elderly or disabled(and many of us are not as young as we used to be)it is important we try not to do too much.The last thing anyone would want is for someone to be taken ill!

9.The bus previously mentioned will be available until 4pm.

10.There will be a buffet on the evenings of 14th 15th and 16th at very reasonable cost at the Hilton in Hanley.

11. There is the cricket match at the nearby ground after the service.A mile away the annual carnival at Wood Lane is open to us.

12.Bring your cameras etc.

13.The Audley Historical Society is displaying Parish Records and other items of interest to us at the Parish Rooms opposite the church from 10 am on the Saturday.

14.Finally do try to be understanding on the day if we are overcrowded.It is like trying to arrange a wedding without a definite guest list.
